Filming Blog for Jansport Commercial

Image
Our first day of filming was productive. Since my group only consists of Sophia and I and we needed more people for our commercial our friends in the class Darrow, Dellana and Lucas helped us out and were in our film. Today we got through the first three scenes, I was the main actor and Sophia filmed while Dellana, Darrow and Lucas also helped with acting. All three scenes today were filmed on the senior patio. In our first scene we started off at the top of the stairs by the auditorium and I grabbed the Jansport backpack and ran down the stairs. We had to reshoot multiple times because it was difficult to get the timing right when the friends gathered around. In the second scene the student without a Jansport backpack, who Darrow was playing, was having trouble with his bag, it was broken and his books were falling out. After reviewing our first shot we realized we needed to try a different angle because they way the sun reflected off the metal pole. Our second shot turned out perfect

Scene 1: The actor will start off coming into school beginning at the top of the stairs in front of the auditorium. A Jansport backpack will be laying on a bench right before the stairs. The actor will be running, grab the backpack off the bench and run down the stairs. This will go from an eye level to a low angle, the camera person will move backwards as the actor runs down the stairs. Then the actor will start walking and other friends with Jansport backpacks will gather around and walk with them. Scene 2: Another actor will be sitting on a bench on the senior patio. Papers and books will be on the ground and on the bench, the actor will be trying to zip up their non Jansport backpack. They will be having trouble and it won't work. This will be an eye level shot from the side. Scene 3: As the group of friends with Jansport backpacks are walking they notice the student with the non Jansport that is broken, there books and papers are falling out and they look sad. They all look a

My group is doing a Jan-sport commercial. In these types of commercials the audience will typically see students at school doing normal activities such as walking to class and talking to friends. The actors will wear active clothes or comfortable school appropriate clothes such as jeans, t-shirts, shorts, and shoes like vans or converse. This will present the setting as a regular day at school. Props include Jan-sport backpacks, water bottle, laptop, notebooks, and folders. Their appearance should be happy and cheerful, smiling and talking with friends at school, as well as running and jumping around showing the durability of the product. Score- upbeat, fast-paced music and sound effects to show the cheerful mood throughout the commercial, although music will come to a stop during the necessary scenes for added dramatic effect. Conventions and codes in Jan-sport include the classic Jan-sport logo followed by the iconic "We got your back" slogan. This slogan emphasizes the id

Props:  Since my group is creating a Jansport backpack commercial, our main prob will be the Jansport backpack. We will also use another brand backpack to compare the difference and prove that Jansport is better. In addition, other objects students generally bring to school such as a water bottle, notebooks, computer, pencil case, books, and a lunch box.  These props help create the image of Jansport's establishment and help advertise Jansport's products at the same time in our commercial. Costumes: Our commercial is taking place at school and the actors will be normal high school students so they will wear everyday school attire such as jeans, shorts, leggings, t-shirt, tank top, or a jacket with comfortable shoes like vans or converse. Schedule: 9/22/21 and 9/24/21- Our group researches conventions and codes of Jansport commercial and we will establish props, costumes, schedule, location list and backup plan.

My Commercial Group

On this first project, a commercial it was important for me to find a good partner. Someone I know will be hard-working and reliable with good media skills. Someone that will be responsible for their part of the project and someone I will be able to work well with inside and outside of school. So I have decided to work with Sophia Pollock. Sophia and I have been friends since we met in 7th grade, we have been good friends inside and outside school. We have worked on my school projects together so I know she will be a good partner. She is hard-working, kind, organized, reliable and responsible making her the perfect partner. I have good acting skills because I acted in plays for fun when I was younger, I have always enjoyed acting. I am also good at coming up with ideas to film about and collaborating. On the other hand, Sophia has great filming and camera skills, she is also good at drawing and music. With my acting skills and Sophias filming skills we will make a great team. We have d

All About Me!

My name is Allison Nordyke, I'm in 11th grade. My favorite color is blue, I know basic but its true. Blue reminds me of everything I love, going on the boat being surrounded in beautiful blue water. Water sports like wake boarding or tubing, going super fast, with only the water beneath me. Swimming, I am a swim teacher, I teach little kids how to swim. Travel, being high up in the sky without a thing in sight except the ocean down below. Waterfalls, hiking in the mountains walking miles in the heat all to get to the beautiful waterfall at the end to make the whole thing worth it. All of these thing that I love all bring me back to one color, blue. My friends would call me an easygoing, adventurous, confident, happy person. I spend my weekends with my friends either going to the beach, going shopping, going on the boat and doing many other things. I love holidays but my favorite is Christmas, and its not just because of gifts, mostly because my birthday is the day after; December
